Mac App Store
Just downloaded the Mac App Store, which came as a add-on to a general mac os x update. The interface is very good. Another example of Apple's mastery over good UI. I was a fan of the ubuntu store. I am apprehensive of entering credit card details and if we do not do it, we cannot download apps. This is sad. Apple should not ask credit card details if I want to download only free apps.

Windows on the Mac
Just installed windows xp on the mac. The process was smooth thanks to the crystal clear instruction manual published by Apple (Boot Camp Support Document). The installation screens for windows were so uninspiring and dull. Why can't they use colorful screens with nice images while the OS is being installed? After installing XP, had the first quota of Ctrl+Alt+Del when the driver installation program for the audio crashed..phew...immediately switched to mac os. It is such a relief.

Support for Exchange
One very useful thing about Apple Mail is that it supports Microsoft Exchange. This means that for people like me who are frustrated at using Outlook Web Access (webmail), Apple Mail is the answer. And the best thing is that you dont require any server details etc which IT personnel do not reveal. All you require is just the URL, userid and password.
